Waste education often begins and ends with one question: What goes in which bin? But the story is much bigger than that. Understanding what happens to our waste, how recycling and composting systems actually work, where they fall short, and what new solutions are emerging gives us the power to see waste differently.

The Recycling Project is committed to making waste literacy accessible, engaging, and empowering. Because the more people who understand the problem, the more minds we have imagining solutions. We don’t need more fear or guilt. We need curiosity, creativity, innovation, and people willing to ask, “What could we do differently?”

Education turns a problem we’ve learned to ignore into one we can actually begin to solve.
